الأهالي والطلبة الأعزاء،

نقدِم لكم أسمى الأمنيات بمناسبة عيد الفصح المجيد وشهر رمضان المبارك.
أودُ اليوم أن أُقدِرَ جزءاً هاماً من مجتمع وأسرة مدرستنا. فلدينا أبطالٌ مجهولون داخل بيوتنا. وهؤلاء هم أطفالنا.
خلال هذه الأوقاتِ العصيبةِ وغير المتوقعة كان أبناؤنا وبناتنا صبورينَ للغاية. ليس بوسعي أن أتخيَلَ كطفلٍ كيف من الممكن أن أقضيَ الساعات الطويلة داخلَ المنزل، التغيُب عن المدرسة والفقدان المفاجىء للتواصلِ المباشرِ مع المعلمين والأصدقاء الذين أَكونُ كطفلٍ معتاداً على قضاءِ الوقتِ معهم.
وبالإضافةِ إلى ذلك هناكَ التأقلُمُ مع عمليةِ التعلُم عن بُعد حيث استبدَلَ الحاسوبُ غرفةَ الصفِ وفقدانُ التواصلِ الشخصيِ بشكلٍ يوميٍ خلالَ فترةِ التعلُم شيءٌ صعب للغاية، بالرغمِ من أنَ المدرسةَ تقومُ بتقديمِ أفضلِ أساليبِ التواصلِ الممكنة.
لذلك أتمنى منكُم أن تحضنوا أطفالكم بشدة فهناك آخرونَ تم عزلهم عن أطفالهم لأننا جميعنا تحت الإغلاق الكامل. وربما تُذَكِرنا هذهِ الأوقاتُ الصعبةُ بأنَ العائلةَ هيَ أَثمنُ هديةٍ نستطيعُ أن نحصلَ عليها.
أشكركم أنتم أمهات وآباء. فقد كنتم صبورين للغاية في هذه الفترةِ القاسية. لقد تغيَرَعالمُ أطفالنا وعالَمُنا فجأةً بينَ ليلةٍ وُضحاها.
سوفَ َتُمُر هذهِ المِحنةُ لكننا لا نعلَمُ متى وكيف سيبدو العالمُ بعد ذلك. وحتى ذلك الوقت دعونا نحتفلُ وُنَكرِم أبطالنا الموجودين في المنازل – أبناؤنا وبناتنا الطلبة.

Dear Parents and Students,
We wish all blessings and prayers for the upcoming holy Easter week and the holy month of Ramadan.
Today I want to acknowledge an important part of our community. We have unsung heroes at home. They are our children.
During these unexpected and difficult times our children have been extremely patient. I cannot imagine as a child what it would be like to stay indoors all day for long periods of time, to be absent from school and to suddenly lose immediate contact with my teachers and my friends who I am used to spending so much time with.
To adjust to remote learning where a computer replaces a classroom, to miss the day-to-day personal interaction while I am learning is extremely difficult although the school is providing opportunities as best as possible under these extreme circumstances.
So give your children a tighter hug and be mindful that there are others separated from their children during these times because we are all locked down. And if anything, these times have reminded us that family is our true precious gift.
Thank you parents. You have been most patient in these testing times. Our children’s world – our world - changed overnight. This havoc will pass but we do not know when or what the world will then look like. Till then let's celebrate our heroes at home - our children.
